Jawaid Iqbal was a senior corporate banker and worked at major banks in Pakistan for about two decades before retiring from banking and starting his own business.
Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Providus Capital (Pvt.) Ltd, which makes investments in Pakistan’s public and private markets. He has served on boards of many companies including Hub Power, Lucky Cement, Fatima Fertilizer, Atlas Power, Allied Asset Management, and Cyan Limited. He has also served as the President of the CFA Society of Pakistan from 2009 to 2013. Jawaid is a CFA charter holder and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He completed the Associate Management Program of Harvard Business School in 2013.

Ruhail Muhammad’s career spans over 35 years in general management, business development, strategy, financial planning, and people development. He has held various C-suite positions in companies focusing on a diverse range of activities from Chemicals to Energy to Polymer production. He is currently the CEO of Hub Power Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of HUBCO, Pakistan’s largest IPP. He is a CFA Charter Holder and holds an MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. He has attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD as well as an Agri-Business certification from the Harvard Business School.

Samad Dawood is a graduate in Economics from University College London, UK, and a Certified Director of Corporate Governance from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. He is Chairman of Friesland Campina Engro Pakistan Limited and Cyan Limited and Vice-Chairman of Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited. In addition to this, Mr. Dawood is an active director on the board of Pakistan Business Council, a pan-industry advocacy group that promotes easing of barriers to enable Pakistani businesses to compete in regional and global arenas. In line with his areas of interest, he is a director and trustee of Boards across varied industries including financial investments, energy, and education, some of which are Engro Corporation Limited, the Dawood Foundation, Dawood Corporation Limited and Dawood Investments (Pvt.) Limited (formerly known as Patek (Pvt) Limited) and Reon Energy Ltd.

Sabrina Dawood was the Chief Executive Officer of The Dawood Foundation (TDF), a philanthropic organisation promoting education and informal learning. Prior to joining Dawood Group, he served in senior management position in Pakistan National Shipping Corporation and has also been associated with Ernst & Young Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder & Co., Chartered Accountants for nine years. Having a flair for textiles, energy and accounting, his career spans over 25 years working with industry leaders and pioneers in these fields.
He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and a degree in Law from University of Karachi. Shafiq is also a certified director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.

Mr. Zamin Zaidi joined the Dawood Group in 2016 and is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Dawood Investments (Pvt) Ltd, an investment company of the Group. Before joining the Dawood Group, he had amassed over 15 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical sector where he worked as the Executive Director of Novins International, a leading producer and distributor of essential medicines. Mr. Zaidi has also worked on data storage and management software platforms at EMC Corporation in Boston, USA. He possesses extensive experience in renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and technology startups, and has previously served as interim CEO of Engro Enfrashare (Pvt) Ltd.
Mr. Zaidi is a certified director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Dawood Hercules Corporation Ltd, Engro Enfrashare (Pvt) Ltd, Inbox Business Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, and Pebbles (Pvt) Ltd. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and his areas of interest include innovation in information technology, business strategy, and entrepreneurship.

Mohammad Shamoon Chaudry has more than 23 years of progressive and varied experience in the financial sector including financial control and governance. Mr. Shamoon started his career in investment banking within Corporate Finance/Advisory in Pakistan. He then moved to New York selling listed equities to funds investing in emerging markets. Subsequently, he shifted to development finance helping Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). During this period, he has worked at the government and policy level; industrial sector level, and with other individual enterprises.
He was in the GCC region for the last twelve years, working primarily in Islamic investments, asset management, and financial control. Mr. Shamoon has extensive experience in managing private equity and real estate investments globally and notable expertise in structuring and developing investment products and asset management. During this period, he has managed investments in the UK, USA, EU, South East Asia, and GCC.
Mr. Shamoon was also adjunct faculty at LUMS, teaching various courses in Finance. He has a master’s in finance from London Business School and an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
