Mr. Ruhail Muhammad brings over 40 years of leadership experience in general management, strategy, financial planning, business development, and people development across diverse sectors, including chemicals and energy.
He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Lucky Electric Power Company Limited, a 660 MW power plant subsidiary of Lucky Cement. Previously, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Engro Fertilizers from 2012 to 2018. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Hub Power Holdings Ltd., a subsidiary of HUBCO, where he led the company’s growth portfolio, including acquisitions, project financing, and financial restructuring initiatives.
Over the course of his career, he has served on the boards of several leading organizations, including Engro Corporation and its subsidiaries, K-Electric, NBP Funds, Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, British Overseas School, KP Energy Board (PEDO), and as Chairman of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited.
He presently serves as Chairman of Pakistan Stock Exchange and is a board member of Lucky Electric Power Company Limited, other Lucky Group entities, NOWPDP, EFU Life Assurance Ltd., and Karachi Education Initiative (KSBL).
Mr. Muhammad is a CFA Charter holder and holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. He has also attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD and an Agri-Business certification from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Abdul Samad Dawood is the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Engro Holdings (formerly known as Dawood Hercules Corporation). Engro Holdings is the holding company of Engro Corporation and the investing platform for the Engro enterprise.
Mr. Abdul Samad Dawood’s experience of management and governance spans 20+ years with a special interest in mergers and acquisitions. He has led multi-billion-dollar M&A deals, including Engro Holdings’ (formerly Dawood Hercules Corporation) acquisition of The Hub Power Company from National Power International Holdings B.V. in 2012 and the sale of DH Fertilizers to Fatima Fertilizer Company in 2015. He was also given the responsibility to lead the merger of Engro Foods (a subsidiary of Engro Corporation) into global dairy giant Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. based on the convergence of their values, goals, and abilities to address Pakistan’s nutritional challenges; he has since served as the Chair of the Board of FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan. These efforts are a culmination of the values advocated by Group Chairman, Mr. Hussain Dawood, who believes a strong code of values builds the foundation for effective problem-solving and human prosperity.
His corporate governance journey spans various organizations in line with his interests; he is the Chairman of FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan and a member of the Boards of Engro Holdings, Engro Corporation, The Dawood Foundation (TDF), Khaadi Corporation, Karachi Education Initiative, Karachi School of Business and Leadership, Dawood Corporation (Private) Limited, Dawood Investments (Private) Limited, Endeavour Pakistan, and the Pakistan Business Council. In the past, he has served on the Boards of The Hub Power Company and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.
Mr. Abdul Samad Dawood has a keen interest in music and plays the piano and guitar. He is a graduate in Economics from University College London, UK and a certified director of corporate governance from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
Ms. Sabrina Dawood has been a member of the Board since April 2014 and serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Dawood Foundation (TDF), a leading philanthropic organization dedicated to promoting education and fostering innovative learning environments. She has played a pivotal role in advancing educational initiatives, including Dawood Public School, which has provided O and A level education to over 2,500 female students for more than three decades. Her expertise in governance extends to her contributions as a member of the Board of Governors of the National Management Foundation (NMF) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and on the Board of the Karachi School of Business and Leadership (KSBL).
She holds an MSc in Medical Anthropology from University College London and a BA in Anthropology and Law from the London School of Economics.
Mr. Muhammed Amin has a distinguished career in Pakistan’s corporate sector, currently serving as Chairman of International Packaging Films Limited. With a career spanning over four decades, Muhammed Amin has held several prominent executive roles, including CEO of Sunridge Foods Private Limited, CEO of Mondelez Pakistan Limited (formerly Kraft Foods), and key leadership positions at The Gillette Company, USA. His early career includes experience with Bristol-Myers Squibb and A. F. Ferguson & Co., reflecting a strong foundation in both multinational and local business environments.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Mr. Amin has made significant contributions in non executive and advisory capacities. He currently serves as an Adviser to the Board of Shan Foods Private Limited. He also chairs the Audit Committee at Burque Corporation and the Strategy Committee at Spar. His previous board roles include directorships at Engro Foods Limited and Al Shaheer Corporation.
A strong advocate for governance, education, and industry development, Mr. Amin has served on the Board of Governors at The British Overseas School, Karachi, and on executive committees of the Lasbela Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American Business Council of Pakistan. He is also the current President of the Dhoraji Youth Services Foundation.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to excellence, strategic growth, and community service. His leadership and advisory roles have been instrumental in shaping the direction of leading organizations within Pakistan’s corporate landscape.
Mr. Muhammad Bilal Ahmed is an accomplished finance and investment professional with over 15 years of experience across capital allocation, treasury, and strategic planning within large, diversified business groups.
He currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and the Board Audit Committee of Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited, where he provides strategic oversight with a focus on financial discipline, capital structure optimization, and long-term value creation.
Mr. Ahmed is also Vice President – Investments at Engro Holdings Limited, responsible for capital allocation and M&A initiatives across the Group. In addition, he is Chief Executive Officer of Dawood Lawrencepur Limited.
He has been associated with the Group since 201 1 and has held several senior leadership roles. Mr. Ahmed has extensive experience within Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited, having previously served in senior advisory roles across business planning, finance, treasury, and insurance. Earlier in his career, he worked at Al Meezan Investment Management Limited and has also served as Visiting Faculty at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi.
Mr. Ahmed is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Oxford and Cambridge Society Karachi Educational Trust. He brings to the Board deep sector knowledge, strong financial acumen, and extensive experience in governance, and capital markets.
Mr. Shafiq Ahmed joined The Dawood Group in 2007 and has held senior leadership positions across several Group companies, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of Dawood Lawrencepur Limited and Tenaga Generasi Limited. He currently oversees the Group’s private companies, including Dawood Corporation (Private) Limited, as Chief Executive Officer.
He serves on the Boards of Tenaga Generasi Limited, Reon Alpha (Private) Limited, Dawood Investments (Private) Limited, and Dawood Corporation (Private) Limited, as well as Inbox Business Technologies Limited.
Prior to joining the Group, he held senior management positions at Pakistan National Shipping Corporation and spent nine years with Ernst & Young Ford Rhodes. With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Ahmed brings expertise across textiles, energy, and accounting, having worked with industry leaders and pioneers in these sectors.
He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, holds a degree in Law from the University of Karachi, and is a certified director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
Mr. Sikander Hazir brings over 16 years of extensive human resources experience, specializing in transforming the resource management capabilities of large and mid-sized organizations. Having spent a significant amount of time in Engro Corporation and Frontier Works Organization, he managed HR innovation programs to enhance productivity and significantly reduce operating costs. In his current role, he oversees HR-related matters of the Dawood Group while performing other key duties. Mr. Hazir holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. His strategic approach and leadership have consistently delivered measurable improvements in workforce efficiency and business performance. In addition to his professional experiences, Mr. Hazir is an avid golfer and enjoys reading autobiographies.
Mujtaba previously served as the Head of Strategy for Dawood Hercules Corporation. Before DH Co, he worked as the Head of Strategy and Transformation for British Telecom in London. At BT, Mujtaba served in various commercial roles including Project Director in Global Services Division and as the Head of Procurement for the UK-wide fiber rollout program. Mujtaba started his career as a software entrepreneur at the age of 19 and since then he has been part of founding teams in a range of startups in the technology, security, and financial services spaces.
Mujtaba holds his BS in Computer Systems Engineering and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
